After a medical emergency, plaintiff was en route to a hospital in the back of an ambulance operated by defendant American Medical Response Northwest (AMR) when she was sexually abused by one of AMR's employees, a paramedic.1 She brought this action against AMR alleging, among other things, that she was a "vulnerable person" as defined in ORS 124.100 and that, by permitting the abuse, AMR violated that statute.
