Defendant appeals his convictions for unlawful possession of cocaine, ORS 475.884, and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, ORS 475.894. He assigns error to the denial of his motion to suppress. He argues that the police officer's observations leading to the search that produced evidence of drugs were made during an unlawful extension of an initially lawful traffic stop.
