Following pleas of no contest, defendant was convicted of four counts of first-degree burglary, ORS 164.225. The trial court ordered him to pay restitution to the victim in the amount of $18,000, which the trial court found represented the replacement cost of the victim's stolen pair of diamond earrings.1 Defendant contends that the trial court erred in imposing restitution in that amount because there was insufficient evidence...
