Defendant appeals his conviction for possession of cocaine, assigning error to the trial court's denial of his motion to suppress. Defendant argues that his consent to the search of his person by a police officer was obtained in violation of his rights under Article I, section 9, of the Oregon Constitution and the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
