Defendant, who was convicted of felon in possession of a firearm, ORS 166.270, appeals his conviction, arguing that the trial court erred in denying his motion to suppress evidence obtained in violation of his state and federal constitutional rights. In particular, defendant asserts that the trial court should have suppressed evidence of statements that he made while in compelling circumstances, because he had not been advised of his Miranda rights...
