{¶1} Defendant-appellant, Craig A. Cowan ("Cowan"), appeals his convictions for felonious assault, discharge of a firearm on or near a prohibited premises, having weapons while under disability, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. His attorney filed five assignments of error, and Cowan filed three pro se assignments of error for our review.1
