{¶1} Plaintiff, David Ries, an inmate formerly incarcerated at defendant Mansfield Correctional Institution (ManCI), filed this action alleging that his Timberland boots, fan, Sony CD player, Sony digital radio, five music CDs, a lamp, and a set of Koss headphones were stolen as a proximate result of negligence on the part of ManCI staff in failing to protect the property.
