{¶ 1} Appellant Gary Merritt was convicted of theft of four automatic catalytic converters, in violation of R.C. 2913.02(A)(1), and vandalism resulting from that theft, in violation of R.C. 2909.05(B)(1)(a). He was sentenced to concurrent nine-month prison sentences on his convictions. Appellant appeals both his conviction and the length of his sentence.
