{¶1} A jury convicted William Dixon of aggravated robbery, felonious assault, and attempted murder as the result of a violent robbery at a grocery store. The State introduced evidence that Dixon, along with his co-defendant Wayne Murphy, viciously assaulted a clerk in the grocery store with a hammer and then stole the clerk's wallet and the cash register.
