OPINION

FAIN, J.

{¶ 1} Plaintiff-appellee/cross-appellant Lynda Hughes Dawson Lumber, Inc., (Dawson Lumber) was awarded damages on its contract claim against defendant-appellee C & L Steel Fabricators, Inc. and its owner, Chad Hummel. From that judgment, Dawson Lumber cross-appeals, contending that the trial court erred by failing to award prejudgment interest and by not accepting its expert's testimony regarding damages.
