{¶1} Appellant, Walter P. Whaley, appeals his conviction for domestic violence claiming a statutory speedy trial violation occurred pursuant to R.C. 2945.71 et seq. Appellant filed a motion to dismiss on speedy trial grounds, but the motion was overruled. He then pleaded no contest to the charge and was sentenced by the Columbiana County Court of Common Pleas to two years in prison. Appellant acknowledges that he missed...
