INTRODUCTION

{¶1} In August 2007, D'Arrius C. King pleaded guilty to felonious assault, a felony of the second degree. At his sentencing hearing, the trial court told him that he would be subject to a period of "post-release control of 3 years or less." It also wrote that in its journal entry.
