{¶ 1} In October of 2007, the Clark County Grand Jury indicted appellant, Jaryld Portis, on one count of robbery, in violation of R.C. 2911.02(A)(2). On the date Portis's trial was originally scheduled to begin, he requested new counsel. The court granted this motion and rescheduled the trial for April 21, 2008.
