FROELICH, J.
{¶ 1} In 2006, Gregory D. Aitken entered a negotiated plea of guilty to one count of rape of a child less than ten years of age, in violation of R.C. 2907.02(A)(1)(b). In exchange for the plea, the State dismissed a second count of rape, one count of attempted rape, and two counts of gross sexual imposition. The trial court sentenced Aitken to life in prison. Aitken did not file a direct appeal...
