OPINION

This consolidated appeal comes before this court from the judgment entry of the Lake County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division, awarding permanent custody of appellants' child, B.D. (DOB 8-18-99), to the Lake County Department of Job and Family Services (LCDJFS). For the reasons discussed below, the judgment of the trial court is reversed and remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion.
