GRADY, J.

{¶ 1} This is an appeal from an order of the court of common pleas overruling objections to a magistrate's denial of motions for a new trial or for a judgment notwithstanding a jury's verdict.

{¶ 2} The underlying litigation arose from dealings between a furnace contractor, Southtown Heating & Cooling, Inc. ("Southtown"), and a homeowner, Dianne Adkinson. Southtown abandoned its promised work...
