SADLER, J.

{¶1} Relator-appellant, Dawn C. Davis ("appellant"), filed this appeal from a judgment by the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas denying her request that a writ of mandamus be issued directing respondent-appellee, the Ohio School Employees Retirement System ("SERS"), to pay appellant disability retirement benefits. For the reasons that follow, we affirm the trial court's judgment.
