{¶1} On June 13, 2007, appellant, Charles H. Ware, III, appeared before the Lake County Court of Common Pleas and pleaded guilty to charges of rape, burglary, and felonious assault. Because his crimes were committed prior to July 1, 1996, appellant was sentenced pursuant to the pre-Senate Bill 2 felony sentencing scheme to an indefinite, aggregate term of 21 to 55 years imprisonment.
