Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of promoting prison contraband in the first degree in connection with his alleged possession of a "1¾ inch long by ¾ inch wide piece of porcelain sharpened on one end." He was then sentenced, as a second felony offender, to a prison term of 3½ to 7 years, to run consecutively...
