The plaintiff entered into a loan agreement with two corporations (hereinafter the borrower corporations) that were wholly owned by the defendant Thomas J. Hoey, Jr. (hereinafter Thomas). In the loan agreement, dated September 19, 2013, the plaintiff agreed to extend to the borrower corporations a credit facility, or line of credit, in the maximum sum of $1.5 million.
