Pursuant to a plea agreement, defendant pleaded guilty to a superior court information charging him with rape in the second degree and purportedly waived his right to appeal. The People recommended in return that defendant, a second felony offender, be sentenced to three years in prison to be followed by 15 years of postrelease supervision.
