In satisfaction of an eight-count indictment stemming from three drug sales, defendant accepted a plea offer pursuant to which he pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree in satisfaction of all charges. Pursuant to the terms of the plea agreement, defendant was required to waive his right to appeal and, in exchange, was promised a prison sentence of four years to be followed by a period of postrelease supervision...
