The defendant was charged with, inter alia, murder in the second degree, attempted murder in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree based upon allegations that he injured one person and killed another person by shooting them. Following a jury trial, the defendant was found guilty only of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, after the jury could not reach a verdict on the murder...
