In satisfaction of a four-count indictment, defendant pleaded guilty to attempted murder in the second degree with the understanding that there would be a sentencing cap of 11 years in prison followed by five years of postrelease supervision. The plea stemmed from an incident wherein defendant fired multiple shots at a 17-year-old alleged gang member in an effort "to teach the gang members a lesson."
