The plaintiff Elizabeth Lipani alleges that she sustained injuries when she tripped and fell over a rolled up mat while exiting the defendant Hiawatha Elementary School, after voting at the school during a power failure. Lipani, and her husband suing derivatively, commenced this action against the defendants.
