On January 25, 2010, the defendant pleaded guilty to grand larceny in the third degree. He was sentenced to five years' probation conditioned upon his paying $178,500 in restitution and surcharges, at a rate of $2,500 per month. On or about June 18, 2014, the defendant's probation officer filed a violation of probation report alleging the defendant violated his probation by failing to make the required restitution payments...
