The County Court did not err in denying that branch of the defendant's omnibus motion which was to suppress a gun found in a backpack thrown off of a landing by the defendant. The police had an objective, credible reason to approach the group on the landing, which included the defendant, to request information (see People v Riddick, 70 A.D.3d 1421 [2010]).
