Contrary to defendants' contention, the orders are appealable because they limited the scope of the issues to be tried (Scalp & Blade v Advest, Inc., 309 A.D.2d 219, 224 [4th Dept 2003]; see also e.g. Rondout Elec. v Dover Union Free School Dist., 304 A.D.2d 808, 810 [2d Dept 2003]).
