The instant application filed on November 1, 2011 is for the appointment of a foreign guardian, pursuant to Mental Hygiene Law § 81.18. The petitioner, Ahmed Mohamed Gabr, is a son from the first marriage of Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Gabr, the alleged incapacitated person (hereinafter the AIP), and is the AIP's foreign guardian appointed on appeal in Egypt, following the trial court's dismissal of the original guardianship...
