Defendant moves to dismiss the accusatory instruments against him pursuant to CPL 40.10, 40.20 and 40.30, on grounds that the People failed to effectuate a proper reduction of charges, and that such failure entitled him to a jury trial. For the reasons stated below, defendant's motion is denied.
