In the early morning hours of July 16, 2007, the victim was in bed in a hotel room in the Town of Union, Broome County when an intruder burst into the room, jumped on top of her and slashed her multiple times with a sharp, unknown object on her face and body, threatened to kill her and then fled without taking anything.
