At approximately 9:27 A.M. on July 21, 2008, plaintiff's decedent, Ira Shenkerman, was struck by a bus at the intersection of Coney Island Avenue and Avenue R in Brooklyn; on January 29, 2009, Ms. Shenkerman allegedly died as a result of the injuries she sustained in the July accident.
