On July 28, 2010 in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, respondent was convicted after trial of six counts of tax evasion in violation of 26 USC § 7201—a serious crime as defined in Judiciary Law § 90 (4) (d) (see Matter of Rothenberg, 274 A.D.2d 738 [2000]; Matter of Ng, 249 A.D.2d 679 [1998]). He was sentenced to 33 months...
