In 1995, petitioner was convicted of two counts of robbery in the first degree and sentenced to consecutive prison terms of 7 to 14 years on each count. Later that same year, petitioner was convicted of an additional charge of robbery in the first degree and sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison, to run consecutively to the sentences imposed on petitioner's earlier convictions.
