On July 22, 1995, Dr. Natasha Muckova was in the midst of the first month of her residency in anatomical and clinical pathology at Strong Memorial Hospital (hereinafter referred to as URMC) and was one of the pathologists on call on that date. She had graduated from the University of Rochester Medical School in May 1995 and had just begun to embark on her desired career path.
