Petitioner is the paternal grandmother and respondent is the mother of the subject child (born in 2004). After the child's father died, the grandmother applied for visitation pursuant to Domestic Relations Law § 72 (1), and Family Court granted her therapeutic, supervised visitation once a month. She sought to modify that order after the counselor who oversaw the visitation, Kenneth Russell, opined that therapeutic visitation was no longer needed...
