Respondent pleaded guilty to attempted rape in the first degree and was sentenced to six years in prison followed by 2½ years of postrelease supervision. In 2006, when respondent was nearing the end of his prison term, he was involuntarily placed in a psychiatric facility's sex offender treatment program.
