In satisfaction of a superior court information charging him with burglary in the second degree, defendant pleaded guilty to burglary in the third degree. Under the terms of the plea agreement, he was to serve a period of interim probation which, if successfully completed, would result in a reduction of the charge to petit larceny and a youthful offender adjudication with a sentence of probation.
