While employed as a high school art teacher, claimant had, since 1990, worked with various particulate matter, including clay dust used for ceramics. In 1997, the employer filed a C-2 form based upon claimant's chronic upper respiratory problems, listing January 1997 as the date of injury, and claimant, in October 1997, applied for workers' compensation benefits. The State Insurance Fund, as the employer's workers' compensation carrier, sought reimbursement...
