MEMORANDUM.

Ordered that the judgment, insofar as appealed from, is affirmed without costs.

In September 2000, plaintiff Shanthi Gounder purchased a house (the premises) which was occupied by a tenant, defendant Chandrika Kurup, who resided there with her daughter and without a written lease. Defendant continued to reside in the premises, and she paid rent until the autumn of 2006...
