The plaintiffs commenced this action by summons and complaint dated September 11, 2007. In their complaint, the plaintiffs alleged that they bought a homeowner's insurance policy from the defendant, entitled the Allstate Deluxe Plus Homeowners' Policy, to insure the real property they owned in the Village of Roslyn.
