Following an incident in which defendant stabbed her paramour with a knife, she was charged with attempted murder in the second degree, assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree. She pleaded guilty to assault in the second degree in full satisfaction of the charges and waived her right to appeal.
