Plaintiff Gary Jock (hereinafter plaintiff), an ironworker employed by Brownell Steel, was positioned on a scissor lift at a construction site when a load of steel decking that was being hoisted above him by a crane abruptly came down and struck him on his head, causing injuries. Brownwell was the subcontractor responsible for erecting steel in the construction of an office building and parking garage on property owned by defendant Columbia Memorial Hospital...
