THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, Respondent, v. NEAL MEDLEY, Appellant.

The People charged defendant with transporting used materials, including radiators and piping, on a public street without proof of ownership or of the right to possess such materials (Administrative Code of the City of New York § 10-118 [b]), and with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree (Penal Law § 220.03). The jury convicted defendant only of the latter offense, and this appeal ensued.
