Defendant, who had been directed by an order of protection to stay away from the victim, entered her apartment where he allegedly struck her and ripped off her shirt. He was indicted on charges of criminal contempt in the first degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, assault in the third degree and criminal trespass in the second degree.
