The issue in this case is whether a grandmother, who surrendered her rights to her son, has standing to file for visitation of her surrendered son's children. The court holds no.

The petitioner surrendered her parental rights to her son when the boy was nine. At age 12, the son was adopted. That son now has two children, ages 10 and 5, with whom the grandmother...
