It is undisputed that the Plaintiff and Defendant were engaged to be married in 1996 or 1997. Upon their engagement Defendant gave to Plaintiff a diamond engagement ring. The parties engagement broke off in or about December 2002, and Defendant took back the engagement ring. The parties, however, continued to reside together until sometime in 2004.
