In this second of two related cases involving competency procedures in the Eighth Judicial District Court, the petitioners challenge the district court's refusal to allow defense counsel the opportunity to present independent competency evaluations during the competency hearing.2 We conclude that defense counsel may introduce these independent evaluations if they are relevant to the issue...
