On January 10, 2012, J.V. pled guilty before the Law Division, Criminal Part to second degree aggravated assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1(b)(1), and fourth degree child abuse, N.J.S.A. 9:6-1, against his then four-month-old son J.V. ("Baby Jesse").1
