Plaintiffs, Laurie Newmark-Shortino ("Laurie") and her husband, Marc Shortino ("Marc"), appeal from the judgment of no cause entered following a jury verdict.1 The jury found that defendant, Andrei Buna, M.D., an obstetrician, was negligent but that his negligence was not the proximate cause of Laurie's injuries.
